Theatre as a spiritual practise

about me.

Last but not least, I am a transgender man running out of the system that is trying to kill and ban me. So I am on my emigrant journey to the better and safer life.

I am an itinerant artist.

I’m an exile theater artist working with two unique theatre systems: the new-processual method of Boris Ukhananov and "impulse" method by Tamara Dascinskaya (the base of the system is P.M. Ershov practice, yoga and meditations).

I really appreciate to work with site-specific and social theatre because it is vital for me to make every voice (place, people, historical facts, small social communities) to be heard. Moreover, theater is a place of education and spiritual growth so I believe we have to cultivate ourselves nod others with the help of art.

One of the sides of my artistic method is clown and mime art. Both of these directions of modern art are not popular nowadays and I’m working on the way how to involve them in cultural field. I do not know any other genres that can be so understandable and universal for everybody.

As an artist, I believe in equality of everyone.

To be honest as an artist I have to be equal to myself. All my work is a process of discovering who I am through spiritual experience and theatre practices.

I want to unite people by theater and art.

By morphing into another concept and identity, I became more myself.

“KORIDOR.

New life”

2023

"What happens to a couple who are about to start a new life together when the country they live in chooses to invade the neighboring country?

The piece "KORIDOR. New life." premiered at Vårscenefest in Tromsø, and then travels on to new meetings with the public.

In the play, NOOR production's Trond Peter Stamsø Munch plays Andrej, who ends up in deep isolation. He is about to lose all his close relations when Russia invades Ukraine - his son, his girlfriend and his one close friend Igor.

Behind the project stands a strong team of exiled Russian stage artists, led by the directing team Prokhor Gusev and Gulnara Iskakova. The text is written by Daria Glenter.

This performance is a manifesto of humanity and the main character of it is female nature that everyone has inside his soul. I believe we have to understand our souls and combine male and female parts of it together in ourselves. This is the only way to become a HUMAN because we have to accept all pieces of our identity and create a peace in our minds and souls. This can be the only rescue for our world nowadays.

This story is about war, its influence on the people’s lives and a miracle that can save life.

The boy Vadim grew up, become a man of affairs named Vadim Nikolaevich and forgot about everything that had happened in his childhood. He forgot the long nights near the furnace in the dark during bombings, tears and happiness on the 9th of May in 1945, loss of his ration card… but one call from the distant past returns him to these days of his childhood.

“Fight club”

2020-2021

The new-processual project ‘Fight club’ based on the philosophical ideas of the book by Chuck Palaniuk. 8 participants, 2 evenings, 8 stories. This performance works on the principle of random - nobody knows who and what about will talk during his term. The main rule is you have to be yourself and candid.

I tried to create a safe space for every member of fight club and give an opportunity to be a real you without fear to be judged.
